This is another shot I animated while at Idustrial Light and Magic. The Nexu cat creature was one of the main creatures I was responsible for on Star Wars Episode 2: Attack of the Clones. I developed this creature from the ground up. This shot went through many revisions, I beleive 7 different blockings were done untill finally George settled on this. The actual animation of this shot took about 5 weeks. There are 5 characters total in this shot - all done by hand. The hardest part of the the shot was the creatures tail - which took alot of work to make sure it felt smooth and also dynamic. The cave is a miniture set - all characters are CG. Star Wars and this image is Copywrite of Lucas Films Limited 2002.
